We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Credit Control Team Leader to lead our client's credit control team and ensure effective debt recovery across their property portfolio. This is a key leadership role within their Accounts Department, with responsibility for overseeing credit control operations, optimising processes, and driving performance to meet company financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and manage the credit control team to ensure efficient and professional collection of service charge and ground rent arrears.

Set clear objectives and KPIs for the team, providing regular feedback and development opportunities.

Oversee the issue of accurate documentation, including reminder letters and legal notices.

Ensure consistent and proactive debt chasing strategies are in place across all properties.

Monitor and review aged debt reports, identifying trends and implementing strategies for improvement.

Support the team in resolving complex queries from clients and leaseholders.

Authorise payment plans or concessions where appropriate.

Manage relationships with external legal representatives and oversee initiation of legal proceedings when required.

Collaborate with other departments and senior team to improve internal systems and communications.

Provide regular reporting and analysis to the Head of Accounts and Directors.
The ideal candidate will be a confident leader with a solid background in credit control, within the block management industry.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Ideally will have used Qube in a similar role.

In-depth knowledge of the legal process for non-payment of service charge and ground rent.
